A week ago my pet Collie started to just lay around a lot, didn't seem to want to walk much, just wanted to get home. I put it down to her getting older (14th year now) and never felt anything was wrong. However last Sunday she vomited a white liquid and I was not able to get anything down her, no food, no water, we ended up putting our fingers in her water bowl and let her lick water that way. On Monday we drove to our local vet 3 miles away, they took a look at her, and told us to get to the animal hospital right away. Once there we were met by a Vet, who took her off us and we went back later to see how things were. The vet told us the Scan showed a big black area in her tummy, it seems as if it's cancer, however at her age the vet said it could be a danger to her, so we have been supplied with medicines to give to her at home, 3 times a day.
However just 5 days later we are playing with her on the beach, she's eating, drinking on her own as and when needed, so invasive surgery may not always be the way to go, it's worth thinking about, we are covered with Pet ins anyway, the money is there for operation, but no we wont as cutting a cancer is like cutting a balloon full of water, its a danger every time,.

My dog has Cancer too, she's in her 14th year now, vet feel it's not safe to operate due to age of my dog, so we are trying to keep her at home as long as we can. The tablets are big, she wont take them.
